About

Max Nicholson is a writer and reviewer for IGN.com. He is also a freelance videographer and video editor.

From 2007-2011, Max attended the University of Oklahoma, where he studied Filmmaking and Art History. There, he spent much of his time making short films and art projects, many of which were showcased at local venues.

Max's architectural design won First Prize in the 2009 OU Public Art Proposal Competition. That same year, his video work was screened at the IIWII Media Art Show at Sonder Music Dance & Art Exhibition Hall. Throughout his four years at school, he also received awards for his narrative video shorts at festivals.

In 2010, Max landed a summer internship as a junior editor at IGN Entertainment in Beverly Hills, California. Then in 2012, after graduating from OU with a B.A. in Filmmaking, he moved to Los Angeles, where IGN employed him as a freelance writer.

During his years at IGN, Max wrote hundreds of articles, made up of in-depth features, interviews, news items and Movie/TV reviews. He also wrote for MTV News starting in April 2015 and became a layout editor for Cracked in August that same year.

Now, Max is a full-time Creative Content Producer at CBS.com, but he has also continued developing his own creative side projects in his spare time.
